Trainer

Status: Full-Time Employee for 24 months
Location: District Location at West Bengal

Essential Job Functions

  • Assist the FPO CEO in ensuring a regular BoDs meeting and AGM as per the statutory norms.
  • Assist the FPO in maintaining the books of records including statutory compliances and accounting.
  • Identification and on-boarding, monitoring of Grameen mittras in FPOs.
  • Ensuring proper coordination between the Grameen mittras and FPOs.
  • Assisting district managers in the Identification, Introduction and implementation of climate-resilient women-friendly technologies.
  • Assisting the district manager in the identification and implementation of a women-centric one-farm approach.
  • Promotion and facilitation of convergence of various government welfare schemes.
  • Implementation of improving the resilience of farming households through digital financial and non-financial products/services leveraging GM.
  • Designing and imparting training on best farm practices and sustainable agriculture technology.
  • Assessment of training required both at FPOs and farmers levels.
  • Development of training module as per the need assessment
  • Collecting and keeping a record of the data related to the surplus of various crops.
  • Organizing training on various aspects: governance, legal compliance, bookkeeping, accounting, and statutory compliance to the board members.
  • Prepare training reports and calendar.
  • Ensuring timely availability of logistics at the time of trading.
  • Ensuring issuance and distribution of share certificates to the shareholders as per the timeline.
  • Assist BoDs in obtaining various licenses required to conduct the business activities

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • He/ she should have 3 to 5 years of experience in the agriculture domain, particularly in farmers and FPO capacity building.
  • Knowledge and experience in FPO capacity building.
  • The minimum qualification would be a Graduate in Agriculture /Rural Development/Social science from a reputed institute

Reporting and relationships: The position will report to the Sr. Program Manager. The incumbent will be expected to work a typical work week of 40 hours plus any additional hours to get the job done. The position will be based at Varanasi. This position will need to be flexible to work across different time zones and may require frequent domestic or international travel.
