Project MIS and Data Manager- GROW project

Status: Full Time Employee (2-year contract)
Location: Andhra Pradesh (East Godavari, West Godavari, Visakhapatnam and Krishna)

About the Opportunity: Grameen, is implementing a largescale program titled GROW (Generating Rural Opportunities for Women to Win in Agri-entrepreneurship) program in four (4) districts of Andhra Pradesh (East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, and Visakhapatnam) over a period of 5 years. The program will create self-employment with a sustainable and regular income for at least 5,000 women, working as Agri-entrepreneurs (AE) who, in turn, will contribute to the livelihood enhancement of one (1) million smallholder farmers (SHFs).

Reporting and relationships: The position will be reporting to the District Program Manager.

Job Summary: The MIS and Dashboard Manager will supervise the data systems and networks. She will discover efficient ways to organize, store, analyze and present data with attention to security and confidentiality.

Essential Job Functions
Key Responsibilities

  • To formulate management techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and Legitimacy of data.
  • To design and maintain robust and interactive dashboards & data visualizations to present Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and relevant metrics to project stakeholders for monitoring the progress of the project.
  • To work closely with the Documentation Officer and co-create, regular and ad-hoc reports based on the project requirements for internal or external purposes, ensuring they are accurate, relevant, and delivered in a timely manner.
  • To capacitate and support the project team in the day-to-day use of data systems and ensure adherence to legal and company standards.
  • To provide continuous feedback to the project implementation team through data analysis, ensuring that timely corrective measures are taken, wherever necessary.
  • To devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis with attention to all technical aspects.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Deep commitment to eradication of poverty and alignment with Grameen Foundation’s mission
  • Outstanding MIS management skills, with proven track record of achievement under a range of challenging situations and multi-stakeholder arrangements.
  • Proven experience as data manager
  • Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.)
  • Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word etc.)
  • An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • BSc/BA in computer science or relevant field
  • Ability to work with external & internal stakeholders.
