Financial Linkage Expert

Status: Full Time Employee (2-year contract)
Location: Andhra Pradesh (East Godavari, West Godavari, Visakhapatnam and Krishna)

Essential Job Functions

Key Responsibilities

• To assess the financial requirements of AEs, including start-up costs, working capital, and investment required for expanding the business.
• To scout and establish low-cost financial linkages of the AEs – this will be the Key Result Area of the Financial Linkage Expert.
• To provide financial counselling and guidance to AEs on budgeting, cash flow management, and financial planning to optimize their resources.
• To identify and facilitate opportunities for AEs and SHFs to access grants, subsidies, or financial incentives from various government schemes or financial institutions.
• To assist AEs in accessing credit facilities, loans, and other financing options from banks, microfinance institutions, or agriculture credit agencies.
• To support trainers and capacity building experts on designing the module on digital financial services and impart trainings on improving financial literacy among AEs, mobile banking, digital wallets to facilitate financial transactions for AEs.
• To advise AEs on financial regulations, tax compliance, and other legal requirements related to the agricultural business.
• To ensure that AEs maintain the proper financial records and documentation required for financial institutions and other stakeholders.

Education and Experience

• He/ she should have 6 to 8 plus years of experience in FPOs strengthening especially on FPOs financial linkages and developing the capacity of FPOs to be a viable business enterprise, working with financial institutions etc.
• The minimum qualification would be MBA/PG in Rural Management/Development/Social sciences/Finance a reputed institute.
