Objectives 

  • Building a sustainable network of Woman agri-entrepreneurs (W-AEs);
  • Curate and institutionalize customized basket of agri-business services for SHFs;
  • Increase SHF income by driving the adoption of agribusiness services facilitated by AEs.

Achievements

  • Onboarded 400 AEs, each covering 200 SHFs.
  • Facilitated collective marketing efforts for the coverage of 11 AEs and 225 farmers across three commodities(cashew, banan and chilli), generating significant profit and income of INR. 24610/- for AEs and INR 22,140 for SHFs.The total volume is 78.35 MTs and the total value is INR 21,27,000/-

Started in November 2023, Generating Rural Opportunities for Women Agri-entrepreneurship (GROW) is a 5-year project being implemented in four districts of Andhra Pradesh viz. East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, and Visakhapatnam, with support from Mondelez India Foods Private Limited (MIFPL). The program shall create self-employment for 5000 women working as Agri Entrepreneurs (AE) who, in turn, will contribute to the livelihood enhancement of one million smallholder farmers (SHFs). The program will harness the entrepreneurship development potential around key agricultural value chains in these four districts and deploy technology for capacity building of potential AEs.
